Client Testimonials

‘Bill Daly was hired as a Consultant by Leading Edge Group and worked as part of a Team that undertook a project with Hasbro Limited in Waterford City during 2001.

Bill was tasked with the brief of Inventory Management, Production Planning and Master Scheduling within the Team. This involved conducting a diagnostic evaluation of all the processes, meeting and interviewing the key players and offering proposals and solutions in relation to the main issues found.

I found Bill’s work to be of a very high quality with matching attention to detail, and he very quickly evaluated the constraining problems and then proposed realistic and workable solutions. He also presented his findings and proposed solutions to the Hasbro Senior Management Team in a very confident, erudite and professional manner’

Joe Aherne, CEO, Leading Edge Group.

‘Bill Daly provided consultancy services to Allen-Vanguard between July 2007 and February 2009, initially as interim Supply Chain Manager and later as Production Manager. During this time, Bill vastly improved the communications pathways between Materials and Manufacturing as well as strengthening the Procurement and Planning functions and also enhancing the delivery performance to our customers.

After the decision was made to close down the facility in Kilbrittain and relocate the business to Tewkesbury in the UK, Bill was responsible for managing this major transition project and he worked very skilfully with the various departments in Ireland and the UK to complete it on time and in a very professional manner.

I have no hesitation in recommending Bill and Torna Services to other companies who will benefit from his technical and commercial knowledge, experience, good humour and very professional attitude’.

‘Killeens Village Tavern in Shannonbridge, Co. Offaly is an old style rural pub in  the midlands, that benefits greatly from our location in terms of passing trade and regular tourist visitors during a season that runs from March/April to October. This irregular work situation brings its own challenges, but coupled with issues of business and family, dual location has presented our family business with a fairly unique set of problems.  We got to meet with Bill during 2013, (who was flexible in meeting us on our terms) and shared our story with him.

We all found him to have very good interpersonal skills, with a friendly relaxed style, combined with good listening qualities. He was very quickly able to ascertain the issues that we as a family business were dealing with.  He was also very helpful in facilitating our group to help ourselves find solutions to our problems.  His follow up work was very well presented and gave us all a better understating of goals we needed to achieve and a clearer roadmap for getting there. We as a family business would highly recommend him’.

Colin Killeen, Killeens Village Tavern, Shannonbridge.

‘Bill Daly worked as a Consultant to Douglas Publishing and Harris Properties from July 2005 to July 2007. During this time he oversaw the launch of The Douglas Post, went on to become  General Manager of the magazine and was responsible for negotiating the eventual sale of the publication to a third party.

As well as managing the operations of the Magazine, Bill also wrote a weekly column which was very well received by our readership. His writing style often managed to take complex topics and then  weave them into storyful content , that could be both understood, enjoyed and also retained for future reference.

Bill used his vast amount of knowledge and experience to help us through a very difficult operating climate. He integrated very well with the staff at all levels, was of great help to me personally, and I have no hesitation in strongly recommending him to other companies who would benefit from his expertise and professionalism’.

Joe Harris, Owner/Managing Director Harris Properties and Douglas Publishing.

‘Bill Daly and Torna Services were engaged by Profitgrow Ltd during 2010 and 2011 as a Consultant to Business.

During this time Bill’s main focus was to organise Seminars for us throughout Ireland, arrange advertising and free copy editorial in the local, regional and national Press. Bill was also responsible for organising our advertising with local Radio Stations as well as managing to get us interviews on business shows during prime time listening slots. Bill also worked online to transform our content into sharp, concise and interesting story formats that appealed to our prospective customers.

We found Bill’s work to be very professional and of a very high quality. His natural writing ability and his working knowledge and experience of media, both locally and regionally, were of a huge benefit – coupled with his ability to create very interesting marketing content online’.

Gerard Nunan, CEO, Profitgrow Ltd.

Bill helped us during 2016 as IT Renew was being launched in Ireland and Europe from the USA.

He began the process by constructing our LinkedIn profiles, and writing content articles to explain what our company was all about. The objective was to convert technical/ semi-technical data into a storyful context to make it interesting for our prospective customers. These articles were planned, integrated and purposeful to employ both creativity and strategy.

We were delighted with Bill’s input and would strongly recommend him to any company looking to have interesting, snappy content to sell their products and also to maintain a lively social media presence.

Sean Rainey, General Manager EMEA at IT Renew (ITAD) Ireland Ltd.
